	T.O.P. T.O.P. is a pitch-in-water emulsion. Because pitch is insoluble in water and extremely viscous in its natural state, it must be emulsified to facilitate its handling and usage. Through emulsification we create an extremely fine dispersion of pitch particles in water. This allows for ease of dilution and fine application controls, while promoting penetration and coating of aggregate materials. Tall oil pitch is the dark bottom fraction of the distillation of crude tall oil, produced by the sulfate pulping process. The Sulfate Process uses Southern Pine trees as its primary source of wood pulp due to its high resin content.
